Late Friday evening in the Greer‑Taylors area, law enforcement launched an active and intense search for 37‑year‑old Shiquon Jamelia Barksdale, whom authorities say fired a weapon toward multiple vehicles in a residential neighborhood before fleeing and crashing her vehicle near a busy boulevard. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the pursuit and ongoing investigation, urging anyone who spots her to contact 911 immediately.

Just after 7 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 73 Pine Drive in Taylors after a frantic 911 call reported that Barksdale had discharged a firearm toward several vehicles. Officials stressed that while bullets were fired, no one was struck by gunfire during that initial incident. Before deputies could reach the scene, Barksdale had already driven from the area.

The situation escalated when deputies located Barksdale’s vehicle and engaged in a pursuit that crossed into nearby Greer, South Carolina. Around 8 p.m., near West Wade Hampton Boulevard and North Dill Avenue, her vehicle collided with two other cars. That crash left occupants of the struck vehicles with injuries, though the exact severity of those injuries has not yet been fully detailed by investigators.

Shortly after the collision, Barksdale exited her vehicle and fled on foot, disappearing into the surrounding neighborhoods. Deputies confirmed a large area search is underway, with K‑9 teams and multiple law enforcement units canvassing streets and wooded areas near the crash site and beyond. Residents have been asked to stay inside and report suspicious activity as the search continues.

Witnesses in the vicinity described seeing law enforcement quickly set up perimeter control and block off parts of Wade Hampton Boulevard after the crash. Traffic in the area remained disrupted late into the night as police worked to keep residents and motorists safe while pursuing leads.

Authorities have not yet released details about what may have prompted Barksdale’s actions earlier in the evening. They did, however, caution that she is considered possibly armed and dangerous, and strongly advised area residents not to approach her if spotted.

At the time of the latest update, deputies were still actively searching for Barksdale and gathering more information about the incidents in both Taylors and Greer. The sheriff’s office continues to appeal to the public for tips and remains tight‑lipped on additional investigative details to maintain the integrity of the ongoing search effort.
