A heartbreaking crash in Antrim Township, Franklin County, left local resident Bonnie Cornelious dead on Saturday evening. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the collision occurred at approximately 6:42 p.m. on October 25, 2025, at the intersection of 11900 Molly Pitcher Highway and South Washington Street.

Investigators say Cornelious was driving northbound on Molly Pitcher Highway in a Nissan when another vehicle—a Honda—entered the intersection from South Washington Street after stopping at a stop sign but failing to yield. The northbound vehicle struck the Honda, and both cars sustained heavy damage.

Cornelious, 81 and a resident of Willow Hill, was transported to Meritus Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The occupants of the Honda—a 47-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man from Hagerstown—were reported uninjured by the state police.

Traffic in the area was delayed as crews worked to clear the scene and tow the damaged vehicles. The department continues to investigate the contributing factors that led to the crash.

Friends and neighbors of Cornelious described her as a warm, caring woman—someone who always greeted others with a smile and whose presence in the community will be sorely missed. Her passing is deeply felt in the area.

In this moment of sorrow, local officials emphasized the importance of patience and attentiveness behind the wheel. This tragic event serves as a sobering reminder that every intersection and every decision on the road carries real-life consequences.

As the investigation proceeds, the community mourns Cornelious’s loss, honors her memory, and hopes that awareness of this crash can help prevent similar tragedies in the future.
