Some of the world’s best soccer players are coming to Philadelphia in 2026 for the World Cup, but getting tickets to the games won’t necessarily be easy.
Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia is set to host six World Cup games next summer in June and July 2026. FIFA will hold a lottery for tickets in several phases, with the first phase beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Fans interested in securing a ticket to one of the many games at the Linc can register online with FIFA to be among the first to know about ticket sale dates and how the entire ticketing process works. When registering, fans will create a FIFA ID if they don’t already have one.
Then on Wednesday, Sept. 10, fans will use their FIFA ID to apply online for the organization’s first chance to buy tickets during the Visa Presale Draw. This first phase of sales is for those with a valid, non-expired Visa debit, credit or reloadable prepaid card enabled with 3D Secure. The application window begins at 11 a.m. EST on Sept. 10 and closes at 11 a.m. on Sept. 19.
Visa cardholders can log in during the application window with their FIFA ID to enter the ticket draw. It’s important to note that Visa cardholders and FIFA fans looking to apply for tickets must be 18 years or older to enter.
A perk of the ticket processing is that regardless of when you apply, as long as it’s during the Sept. 10-19 window, your chances of being selected to buy tickets will not be impacted. The selection process is randomized, and soccer fans who are chosen will be notified via email beginning Sept. 29 that they can purchase tickets during a date and time slot provided by FIFA.
For those randomly selected, the ticket purchasing time slots will begin on Oct. 1. However, FIFA warns that even if your application is selected, this doesn’t guarantee that tickets will be available for purchase during your allotted time slot.
Once ticket sales begin, single-match tickets to all 104 matches will be available for fans to choose from, as will venue-specific and team-specific tickets. So, FIFA fans looking to catch a game at the Linc or wanting to see their favorite team play will have their choice of the litter.
The lucky bunch selected during the randomized process will be able to choose from group-stage tickets starting at $60. Ticket prices can reach up to $6,000+ for the final World Cup match, where the top two national teams will compete for the ultimate trophy.
