A trial is underway for Ryan Routh, who is accused of trying to harm President Donald Trump back in 2024 at a Florida golf club. The government has finished presenting its side of the story in court.
FBI agent Kimberly McGreevy showed the jury phone records, papers about car tags, bank papers, and videos. The government says all of this proves that Routh was watching President Trump in the weeks before he allegedly tried to hurt him.
The evidence showed that Routh was staying at a truck stop and that he was looking up President Trump’s schedule, places where he would be, and even tracking his plane online.
The government also showed that money was being moved around in ways that looked suspicious, possibly to help Routh.
Now, Routh, who is speaking for himself in court, will get to tell his side of the story. He plans to bring in three people to speak for him, including someone who knows about guns and people who can speak to his character. The jury will need to consider all the evidence to decide what really happened.
