Iron Mountain, Michigan — Shannyn Caldwell, the warm-hearted radio host, author, naturopath, and creator of Healing Season, has passed away after a courageous fight with aggressive cancer. Her voice, full of encouragement and faith, drew thousands of listeners each day and left a lasting impression across communities she touched.

Shannyn’s life was one of compassion. Born and raised in Iron Mountain, she carried the spirit of her hometown into every conversation on air. People tuned in not just for her voice, but for the genuine care she put into every message, every prayer, and every story she shared. She used radio as a place where listeners felt heard, loved, and understood.

Her journey in Christian radio spanned nearly 15 years with Family Life Radio, where she became a familiar and uplifting presence. Early on, she co-hosted the national morning show Peter and Shannyn in the Morning, bringing laughter and life lessons to homes across the nation. Later, she moved to the midday slot, continuing her mission with joyful conversation and unwavering focus on hope through faith.

Away from the microphone, Shannyn was a lifelong learner and healer at heart. She earned credentials as a Traditional Naturopathic Doctor, blending holistic wellness with spiritual encouragement. Her Healing Season series — a collection of books, devotionals, and courses — was designed to guide people from pain to peace, touching hundreds of lives with comfort and inspiration.

Shannyn’s battle with cancer became part of her ministry itself. After a diagnosis in early 2025 revealed an advanced stage of disease, she chose transparency, inviting her community into her journey. Through updates shared online and on air, she faced each challenge not with retreat, but with authenticity, resilience, and deep faith. Friends and listeners rallied with prayers and support, a testament to the connections she had built.

Those closest to her remember Shannyn not just for her working life, but for her spirit. She championed joy in the everyday, rooted her strength in faith, and offered kindness without hesitation. In her final moments, she was surrounded by loved ones, peacefully leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire many.

Shannyn is survived by her daughter, Alexandra Biedenbach; her son, Liam; family members; and countless friends whose lives she touched. Her voice may be silent on the airwaves now, but her message of hope and healing will echo across hearts for years to come.
