An AMBER Alert issued across Alberta on Saturday afternoon was cancelled after police confirmed the safe recovery of a missing child.

    What Happened

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) issued the alert around 4 p.m., reporting that two-year-old Aurora Alexis had been taken from the area of 106 Street and 31 Avenue. Police believed she was with Leonard Willier, described as 6 feet tall with a stocky build, driving a 2018 white Toyota Tundra with Saskatchewan licence plate 786 JBH.

The alert was broadcast across the province shortly before 5 p.m. At 5:32 p.m., EPS announced the alert had been cancelled, confirming that Aurora was located.

    What We Know

    • Child Found: Aurora was safely located within about 90 minutes of the alert being issued.

    • Suspect: Police have not confirmed whether Leonard Willier is in custody.

    • Details Withheld: No further information has been shared about where Aurora was found.

    Police Statement

The Edmonton Police Service thanked the public for their quick response and urged residents to stay tuned to local media for ongoing updates.

This is a developing story — more details will be provided as they become available.
