Anniversary Commission Faces Internal Strife Over Patriotism

Washington, D.C. – The group tasked with planning the nation’s 250th birthday party is facing some serious disagreements. Ariel Abergel, the former head of the America250 Commission, says he was fired for trying to honor traditional American values.

Abergel, a conservative, claims the commission is run by people who don’t share President Trump’s love for the country. He says he was let go after posting a message on social media mourning the loss of Charlie Kirk, a well-known conservative figure.

Commission officials claim Abergel was fired for a “security breach” and other misdeeds. They say he acted without permission and tried to get commissioners to quit by pretending to speak for leaders in Congress.

Abergel says his actions were in line with President Trump’s vision for the anniversary. He claims the commission is filled with “dysfunction, greed and cronyism.”

Sources say the trouble started after Kirk’s death. Abergel wanted the commission to condemn political violence, but the chairwoman, Rosie Rios, a former Obama administration official, reportedly refused. Abergel then posted a tribute to Kirk on the commission’s social media, which led to accusations of misusing government property and being too “divisive” because the post mentioned God.

Abergel says he had the support of the White House and Congress for his decisions. The White House confirmed they are proud of Abergel’s work, especially his efforts to honor the military.

Despite the conflict, the America250 Commission says it is still committed to putting on a great celebration for the country’s 250th anniversary. They say they will work closely with President Trump and his team to make it happen.
