LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Indiana American Water recently broke ground on a new water treatment facility in Seymour. The new plant will replace the city’s more than 100-year-old facility and is expected to be operational by fall 2026. It will have a treatment capacity of 4.5 million gallons per day, nearly doubling the city’s current average demand. The plant was also designed to be expandable in the future.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — As Labor Day weekend approaches, Kentucky officials are urging everyone to celebrate the end of summer responsibly. The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety (KOHS) is partnering with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration along with law enforcement agencies nationwide in the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign. It started Wednesday, Aug. 13 and runs through Sept. 1. The goal is to reduce impaired driving crashes, which often increase during holiday weekends. LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 200-year-old Kentucky distillery is back to business as usual after being hit by historic floods in April. Every one of the 100 buildings on the historic part of the distillery in Frankfort had some sort of water damage. There was nearly 3 feet of water inside the visitors center.
