Kodak is warning that its future in business is looking very blurry. The iconic 133-year-old business cautioned Monday that there’s “substantial doubt” about its ability to continue as a going concern because it might not have the financial resources to meet its future debt obligations, according to an Aug. 11 regulatory filing. A so-called going concern warning is an accounting term that signals a risk that a business might cease operations. Shares of Kodak plunged $1.73, or 26%, to $5.05 in Tuesday morning trading. Reached for comment, a Kodak spokesperson pointed to the statement in its regulatory filing. The warning is…
Skin-cleansing soaps, foams, lotion recalled over possible “serious and life-threatening infections”
A U.S. company that makes health care products is recalling four over-the-counter skin cleansers and an anti-itch lotion it says could lead to “serious and life-threatening infections.” New Jersey-based DermaRite Industries announced on Friday that it was voluntarily recalling the health care products due to the fact that they may cause a microbial contamination known as Burkholderia cepecia, which may result in adverse reactions, particularly in immunocompromised individuals. In a company statement, DermaRite said the contaminated products “may be used by immunosuppressed individuals or by people who are attending to these individuals.” The recall notice was also shared by the U.S. Food and…
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Court records show the man accused of kidnapping a Louisville mother and her two children during a bank robbery last week was previously convicted in a string of violent robberies in 2021 — crimes that left multiple victims injured and fearful — but was released on probation. Records show Armond Langford was sentenced in 2024 on burglary and robbery charges stemming from a four-month crime spree in 2021 that involved at least 19 victims. Court documents show sometimes he targeted multiple people in a single day and threatened to kill some of them. In one incident,…

Kentucky State Police Trooper Matt Gayheart held a news conference Tuesday evening to provide an update in their search. Gayheart said Spicer’s mother, Felicia Gross, 33, has been arrested in the case. Gross is charged with manslaughter,…
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Lawmakers are looking for answers after a WDRB investigation exposed potential fraud in Kentucky’s transportation cabinet. A former clerk said undocumented workers bought state driver’s licenses under the table for $200 each in a scam that went on for years. “It’s pretty shocking. Everybody was talking about it throughout the day in Frankfort,” Rep. Jason Nemes, R-Majority Whip, said Tuesday. “We’re going to start an investigation with our oversight committee and we’re asking the attorney general to investigate it from a law enforcement angle.” Nemes said the legislature will press for the public to know how…
FLOYD COUNTY, Ind. (WDRB) — The Blackiston Mill project has cost Floyd County a significant amount of money, and recent changes to how Indiana counties collect revenue mean the county’s approach to funding road repairs and maintenance is about to change as well. Residents and officials alike have noticed the toll that budget constraints are taking on the county’s infrastructure. “Roads are horrible around Floyd County. Everywhere you go, they’re doing construction. Potholes here and there,” local resident Robert Gouldy said. “Cutouts in the road that they’ve just left open for you to run over and just destroy your tires.…

The project is designed to expand highway capacity and safety by widening the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and reconstructing the U.S. 42 (Brownsboro Road) interchange. President Trump has tapped Terry Cole, the head of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), to lead the federal takeover of the Washington, D.C., police department. Cole, a longtime DEA agent who was Virginia’s secretary of public safety before joining the Trump administration, will be at the forefront of efforts to stamp out what the president has described as out-of-control crime in the district. “Our capital city has been overtaken by violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals, roving mobs of wild youth, drugged-out maniacs and homeless people, and we’re not going to let it happen anymore. We’re not going to take it,”…
