Around 8:40am, the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department and several surrounding departments responded to a report of a dwelling fire with entrapment. The victims were 2 adults and 4 children, according to officials. There were 9 residents who lived at the house. 1 adult escaped and 2 others were not home at the time of the fire. The origin of the fire is under investigation.
A woman charged with attempted murder 40 years ago is now being charged with one count of murder in the first degree. Patricia Ruth Holt, 57, is accused of killing Carl Joseph Donaldson, 47, in July. He was shot in the head. Both Holt and Donaldson worked at Hutchins Trucking Yard in Northern Texas. Donaldson was her boss at the time.
