Aurora police said that a driver who was injured in a hit-and-run crash early Friday morning chased down the suspect driver. Investigators said the crash happened about 6:30 a.m. at South Pitkin Road and South Buckley Road. According to the Aurora Police Department, the crash involved three vehicles: a Hyundai, a white Subaru and a Dodge Charger. The preliminary investigation suggests that all three vehicles were northbound on South Buckley Road when the driver of the Hyundai rear-ended the Subaru. Deadly flash floods hit central Texas on July 4, killing at least 135 people, including at least 27 campers and staff at Camp Mystic. The Christian girls’ camp was established in 1926. The Colorado State Patrol Aircraft Unit was conducting traffic operations in the Denver metro area on Thursday night. The trooper aircraft unit said about 9:15 p.m. that multiple commercial airplane pilots reported a green laser being directed into the cockpits of their aircraft. The state patrol aircraft unit said they were able to locate the suspect on East 64th Avenue and Monaco Street in Commerce City.
