CHICAGO – A 59-year-old cyclist is in critical condition after a hit-and-run on Saturday in the Lower West Side, according to the Chicago Police. What we know: Around 3:13 p.m., a Dodge pickup truck traveling westbound on 21st Street struck a 59-year-old man on a bicycle in the 2300 block of West 21st Street. CHICAGO – Chicago police are searching for an offender who hit a victim over the head in the Irving Park neighborhood. What we know: On Aug. 15, a Black woman, between the ages of 20-35, exited a CTA bus around 5:45 p.m., according to police. PALATINE, Ill. – A 21-year-old Chicago man sustained serious injuries in a single-car crash in Palatine, according to police. What we know: Around 8:30 a.m., police and fire responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a black Dodge Ram pickup truck in the 1100 block of East Dundee Road. Witnesses reported that the 21-year-old driver was going eastbound at a high speed and lost control before hitting a streetlight and then a tree. CREST HILL, Ill. – As two suburban parishes combine, they will rename the new church after the first millennial saint, St. Carlos Acutis. LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana man is facing charges after going to police and admitting to long-term sexual abuse. According to a news release, Marcus Miller went to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department on July 2, 2025, and admitted to repeated sexual abuse with a victim beginning when they were 12 years old. The victim, now 19, confirmed the abuse in an interview.
