CHICAGO – A 9-year-old boy was struck and killed by a car Thursday morning outside McNair Elementary School on Chicago’s West Side, police said. What we know: The crash happened around 7:41 a.m. in the 4800 block of West Walton Street, according to Chicago police. The boy, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as Anakin Perez, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he later died. No other injuries were reported. At the time of his arrest, the suspect had two counterfeit postal keys, suspected meth, several stolen debit and credit cards, and a stolen passport, according to authorities.
