A man is charged with murder after he allegedly fatally shot a woman in Center City on Friday evening, Philadelphia police said. The alleged shooter, identified by police as John Kelly, was arrested Friday and charged with murder, possessing an instrument of crime and other related offenses, according to police. Jury selection is set to begin Monday in the criminal trial of Ryan Routh, the man charged with trying to assassinate President Trump last year in South Florida. CHICAGO – A 31-year-old woman was killed Monday morning after police say she was shot in the face during a fight with someone she knew in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood. What we know: The shooting happened around 9:06 a.m. in the 2200 block of South State Street, according to Chicago police.
