    Catherine O’Hara: A Comedy Star’s Finale

    Catherine O’Hara, the talented actress known for her roles in “Home Alone” and “Schitt’s Creek,” has passed away. She was a celebrated figure in comedy, known for her sharp wit and memorable characters.

    O’Hara began her career at Second City in Toronto, where she collaborated with Eugene Levy. Together, they were part of the original cast of “SCTV,” a sketch comedy show that helped launch the careers of many famous comedians.

    Later in life, O’Hara experienced a career resurgence with “Schitt’s Creek.” The show, created by Levy and his son Dan, resonated with audiences and earned O’Hara an Emmy Award. This success led to other notable roles, including a part on HBO’s “The Last of Us” and “The Studio,” showcasing her versatility as an actress.

    O’Hara is survived by her husband, Bo Welch, and their two sons, Matthew and Luke. Her contributions to comedy and entertainment will be remembered by many.
