The CTA said Monday night there was a minor derailment of a Yellow Line train at the Howard Station near Evanston.
About 7:40 p.m., the CTA and the Chicago Fire Department escorted riders from two trains to nearby platforms, according to CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the derailment was not immediately known.
