St. LOUIS COUNTY — Wednesday night, two young men lost their lives in a deadly shooting inside a vehicle on Horizon Village Drive, police confirmed Friday. The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Damarius Bolden and 24-year-old Tajean Johnson.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers responded around 10:25 p.m. Dec. 3 to a ShotSpotter activation at the 12400 block of Horizon Village Drive. When they arrived, they discovered both men suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Bolden was pronounced dead at the scene. Johnson was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.

Bolden was a resident of the 7200 block of Teal Avenue in St. Louis. Johnson lived on the 3200 block of Greenway Chase Drive in Florissant.

Right now, no suspects are in custody. The investigation remains active as detectives work to piece together what happened that night.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to step forward — you can reach the St. Louis County Police Department at 636-529-8210, or contact CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS.

The community is reeling. Two lives, full of promise, cut short. As the investigation unfolds, neighbors and loved ones are left grappling not only with grief, but the urgent desire for justice — and answers.
