    R&B Singer D’Angelo Passes Away at 51

The music world is mourning the loss of D’Angelo, the famous singer, who has died at the age of 51. His family shared that he passed away on Tuesday after fighting cancer.

D’Angelo, whose real name was Michael D’Angelo Archer, was known for his soulful voice and music. His family said that his light “has dimmed,” but they are thankful for the wonderful music he left behind. They have asked for privacy during this sad time and have invited fans to remember him and his songs.

RCA Records, the company that released D’Angelo’s music, said they are very sad about his death. They remembered him as a talented person who mixed different kinds of music, like soul, funk, and jazz. He released three albums that many people loved, and he won many awards for his work.

D’Angelo’s music played a big part in the neo-soul movement of the 1990s. He was one of the first to bring together different styles of music.

Earlier this year, he celebrated 30 years since his first album, “Brown Sugar,” which had popular songs like “Lady.” The album earned him Grammy nominations.

D’Angelo never married but had a long-time relationship with musician Angie Stone. Stone passed away earlier this year. D’Angelo is survived by his children, Michael D’Angelo Archer II and Imani Archer.

After the news of his death, many people shared their feelings. Jamie Foxx said that D’Angelo was a special person and that his music will be remembered for many years. DJ Premier, who worked with D’Angelo, said he will miss him a lot.
