Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has announced that the historic Burnham Yard railyard could become the future site of a new stadium for the Denver Broncos.
The proposed development marks a significant shift for the team, which currently plays at Empower Field at Mile High, located less than two miles away.
Burnham Yard, once a bustling rail hub for over a century, was shut down in 2016 and purchased by the state in 2021. Now, the Colorado Department of Transportation is preparing to sell the property.
