    Five Injured in Green Level Shooting, Two Arrested, More Charges Expected

    Five people were injured in a shooting at a large party in Green Level, North Carolina, early Saturday morning. The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two individuals in connection with the incident, and further arrests and charges are anticipated.

    What Happened

    At approximately 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to reports of gunfire at the intersection of Florence Road and West Simpson Road in Green Level, where a party with over 200 attendees was taking place. When authorities arrived, they found three victims at the scene, and two additional victims were discovered at a nearby Flying J Travel Center.

    The victims included two juveniles, aged 15 and 16, as well as adults aged 19, 22, and 34. All five individuals sustained gunshot wounds, but their specific conditions have not been disclosed.

    Arrests and Charges

    Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the shooting:

    • Cedric Lamont Watson, Jr., 20, faces multiple charges, including:
      • 3 counts of felony possession of a firearm by a felon
      • 3 counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
      • 2 counts of possession of a weapon of mass destruction
      • 10 counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property

    Watson is being held on a $2 million secured bond.

    • Javiya A. Parker, 19, is charged with felony accessory after the fact of an assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. She was released on a $50,000 secured bond. Authorities expect additional charges against Parker and foresee further arrests in the case.

    Investigation Details

    Investigators revealed that a machine gun conversion device was used in the shooting, intensifying concerns about the type of weapon involved. Sheriff Terry Johnson indicated that more arrests and additional charges are likely as the investigation continues.
