Forest Park, Ohio — A quiet Friday night turned tragic when a three‑vehicle collision at a busy Forest Park intersection claimed one life and left three others critically shaken, including a pregnant woman. Friends, family, and neighbors are struggling to grasp the sudden loss and the uncertain condition of the survivors.

Just before 9 p.m. Friday, Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies and Forest Park Police were called to the intersection of Winton Road and Kemper Meadow Drive following reports of a violent crash involving three vehicles. When emergency crews arrived, they found one victim had already died at the scene.

Paramedics quickly treated and transported three injured people to a nearby hospital. Among them was a woman who was several months pregnant, according to reports from the sheriff’s office and local news accounts. Authorities have not yet released details about the severity of their injuries or how the unborn child is doing, saying the investigation is ongoing and sensitive.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit has taken over the investigation. At this stage, deputies have not publicly identified what led to the crash or whether factors like speed, weather, or driver error played a role. Officers continue to examine the scene, interview witnesses, and study evidence.

While officials have not formally released the identity of the person killed, social media posts from friends and family have identified the victim as 27‑year‑old Katie Lorenzo. In messages shared widely online, loved ones remembered Lorenzo as someone full of joy, kindness, and faith who had bright plans for the future. (Name reported by community posts; official release pending.)

One close friend, Tyla Davis, wrote online, “Lord, I don’t understand this one. My heart is broken. Katie is the little sister I always wanted. How do we go from planning your wedding to planning your funeral.” Her words reflect the disbelief and grief felt across Forest Park this weekend.

Neighbors gathered at the crash site the next day, some placing flowers and candles at the roadside, while others called for greater caution on local roads. “It could’ve been any of us,” one resident said. “We need to slow down and look out for each other.”

As investigators work to determine what happened that night, the Forest Park community mourns and holds onto hope for those still healing. Authorities say they will release more details when they are available.
