First Lady Melania Trump shared some good news Friday: Eight Ukrainian children, who were separated from their families because of the war in Ukraine, are now back home.
Mrs. Trump explained that some of these children had been moved to Russia due to the fighting. Others were separated from family members as they crossed borders seeking safety. She highlighted the importance of helping these children, who have experienced so much hardship.
She also mentioned that some young people who were displaced by the war are now adults living in Russia. Getting them back home will take extra effort.
The First Lady emphasized that this is just the beginning. Plans are in place to help more children reunite with their families in the future. She is committed to continuing this important work.
