    In Loving Memory of Joyce Faye Robinson

    It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce Faye Robinson, who was called home on [insert date]. Joyce, born to Mrs. Maggie Stovall McGrew and Mr. Eugene Stovall on December 16, 1956, was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose life touched many.

    A Life of Faith and Service

    Joyce was introduced to Christ at an early age and united with Scruggs Chapel United Methodist Church in Edna, Texas, where she was baptized. Her faith remained a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of Scruggs Chapel throughout her years. Joyce served in various capacities, including in the children and youth ministries, choirs, and fellowship programs, leaving a lasting impact on her church community.

    Education and Career

    Joyce attended public schools in Edna, Texas, before furthering her education at Ranger Junior College in Ranger, Texas. She pursued a career in various technical roles in Oceanside, California, and Port Comfort, Texas. Joyce was admired by her coworkers for her work ethic and the positive energy she brought to every job. Her final job at Love’s Truck Stop in Edna, Texas, was one she particularly cherished, and she was fondly remembered by all who worked with her.

    Family and Legacy

    Joyce is survived by her daughter, Chanda Robinson; son, Chedrick Robinson (Tiffany); and grandchildren Devin Dilworth, Haleigh Robinson, Kyleigh Robinson, DeRodrick Jones, De’Ontae Jones, De’Quare Brown, Azhane Brown, Amayah Robinson, and Chadsidy Robinson. She also leaves behind her great-granddaughter, Macaria Jones, who was a source of joy in her later years.

    Joyce is also survived by her sisters Lynda Jean Stovall-Washington (Wendel) of Fresno, Texas, and Mary Ann Stovall-Washington (Maurice) of San Antonio, Texas, her brother Lester McGrew of San Antonio, and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

    Those Who Preceded Her

    Joyce was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Maggie and Clifton McGrew; her father, Eugene Stovall; her sisters Vivian Bryant, Lois Roy, and Nellie Parks-Brazille; and her beloved son, Chadrick Robinson.

    Service Information

    A service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Maurice Washington will be officiating. Family, friends, and all who loved Joyce are invited to come together to honor her remarkable life and the legacy she leaves behind.

    Though Joyce is no longer with us, her spirit and love for her family and community will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
