Trump’s plan includes charging teenagers as young as 14 as adults for certain serious offenses, aiming to take a tougher stance on youth crime.
Statistical reports show that the Metropolitan Police Department has recorded a 7% decrease in overall crime, alongside a significant 26% reduction in violent crime. However, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser acknowledged the need for careful consideration regarding the federal presence in the city.
