Jennifer Lopez recently shared some thoughts on her personal journey following her recent divorce. In an interview, the actress and singer, age 56, described the experience as surprisingly positive.
Lopez, who has been married multiple times, most recently to Ben Affleck from 2022 to 2024, emphasized the importance of self-reflection and seeking guidance during challenging times. She revealed that she consulted with various experts, including therapists and coaches, to better understand herself and her relationships.
Lopez stated that going through the divorce process led her to a deeper understanding of her own worth. She came to believe that past relationship challenges stemmed not from her own shortcomings, but from the inability of others to fully offer the love and support she needed. Despite receiving material gifts, she felt something was lacking.
Working through the difficulties, Lopez says she now feels more confident and self-aware. She has gained a greater appreciation for herself, including both her strengths and complexities.
Lopez previously mentioned that the split “helped me grow in a way that I needed to grow, become more self-aware.”
Recently, Lopez and Affleck were seen together at the premiere of “The Kiss of the Spider Woman.”
