    Joliet, Illinois – The Joliet Police Department is urgently asking the public for assistance in locating Selene Turner, a 58-year-old woman with an intellectual disability, who has been missing since Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Police believe she may have taken a Metra train to Chicago, and her family and authorities are concerned for her safety.

    Selene Turner was reported missing from her residence in the 1400 block of Addleman Street in Joliet, Illinois, on Tuesday, October 28, after she left home earlier in the day. She was last seen walking northbound from her home around 1:20 p.m. Joliet police conducted an extensive search in the area but have not been able to locate her.

    Detectives have learned that Selene may have taken a Metra train to Chicago, specifically to the LaSalle station in downtown Chicago, during the early evening hours on Tuesday. Authorities from both Joliet, Chicago police, and Metra are coordinating efforts to locate her.

    Selene is described as a 5’7″, 154 lbs woman with blue eyes and blonde/red hair. Additionally, she wears glasses and has a copper-colored bracelet on her left wrist. Her right wrist is bandaged due to a recent injury.
