Following King Charles III’s move to remove Prince Andrew’s titles and honors, the Royal Family has now removed Andrew’s biography from the royal website. This continues the process of distancing the Royal Family from the former Prince, who will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Andrew has been formally asked to surrender his lease on Royal Lodge and find new accommodations.
The Palace emphasized that these actions were deemed necessary, despite Andrew’s continued denial of allegations against him.
The royal website no longer includes information about Andrew’s service in the Royal Navy, his history as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s third child, his marriage to Sarah Ferguson, or details about his children and grandchildren.
These changes follow Prince Andrew’s earlier relinquishing of his Duke of York title and his association with Jeffrey Epstein. The Palace reiterated that their sympathies are with the victims of abuse.
Prince Andrew’s troubles began with his friendship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, and accusations from Virginia Roberts Giuffre. Giuffre claimed she was forced to have sex with him three times, including when she was 17 years old.
