Early the morning of Thursday, October 16, emergency services responded to a “concern for welfare” call at a flat on Grosvenor Street, just off Oxford Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered Kadey unresponsive. Paramedics attempted lifesaving measures, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The venue’s management issued a heartfelt statement: “We can confirm that in the early hours of Thursday morning, a team member from our Gorilla venue tragically passed away in an apartment on Grosvenor Street. We do not have any detailed information as to what occurred at this time, and it would be inappropriate for us to comment further whilst there is an ongoing police investigation.”
Among the outpouring of grief, close friend Emily Walker paid tribute: “She was the funniest, craziest, coolest, most caring person that any of us will ever have the pleasure of knowing.” Kadey’s cheerful energy, quick laugh and capacity to light up a room will be deeply missed by friends and colleagues alike.
