A Texas woman has been charged with capital murder after the body of her newborn baby was found in a dumpster. Court records show that Courtney Minor, the child’s mother, is facing serious charges and is currently being held on a $500,000 bail.
The tragic discovery occurred in July 2024, when the infant was found inside a suitcase that had been thrown into a dumpster in Fort Worth. According to reports from local police, Minor was allegedly seen rolling the suitcase to the dumpster shortly before the baby was found.
Police say that Minor has confessed to the act, stating that she threw the suitcase with her baby inside, who was still alive at that time, into the dumpster. She now faces charges of capital murder of a child under the age of 10 and abuse of a corpse.
As of now, it’s unclear if Minor has entered a plea or if she has legal representation. The community is left in shock over this heartbreaking incident.
