A man in Oregon and his son are facing charges related to the death of the man’s girlfriend.
William Glen Blake, who is 56 years old, was arrested on Thursday, October 23, for allegedly killing his girlfriend, 38-year-old Jennifer Ruth Stuart. The police say he murdered her.
Blake has been charged with serious crimes, including second-degree murder, mistreating a body, using a weapon illegally, and interfering with evidence. He is in jail and cannot be released on bail.
Blake’s 15-year-old son was also arrested. He is accused of helping to move Stuart’s body after she died. The teen faces charges of abusing a corpse and tampering with evidence. Police have not released the teen’s name.
Investigators think Blake killed Stuart on August 15 at their home in Oregon City. Stuart’s body was found on September 1 in Mount Hood National Forest.
Authorities also spoke with Blake’s 17-year-old son about the case.
A friend of Stuart’s, Mike Chaney, said that she was a good person and that her death was painful.
