Parker Charles Johnson Death and Obituary – Hibbing, Minnesota, is mourning the tragic loss of Parker Charles Johnson, a 24-year-old man who died following a fatal shooting early Sunday morning, November 2, 2025. According to local authorities, the incident occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Hibbing, leaving the tight-knit community in shock and grief.

Police reports indicate that officers responded to a call of shots fired around 2:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Parker Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by first responders, Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. His death has since been ruled a homicide.

A male suspect was apprehended later that day and is reportedly cooperating with investigators. While officials have not yet released the suspect’s name pending formal charges, they confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The Hibbing Police Department and the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office are jointly investigating the case.

Family and friends describe Parker as a kind, generous, and hard-working young man who was deeply loved by those around him. Born and raised in Hibbing, Parker attended Hibbing High School, where he was known for his warm smile and easygoing personality. After graduating, he pursued a career in the construction industry, where his colleagues admired his dedication and sense of humor.

Those close to him remember Parker as someone who brought light to every room he entered. Friends say he loved spending time outdoors, fishing and camping in northern Minnesota’s lakes and forests. His passion for adventure was matched by his loyalty to his friends and family.

“He was one of the good ones,” said a longtime friend. “Parker would do anything to help someone out — he had a big heart, and he’ll be missed more than words can express.”

The Hibbing community has come together in the wake of the tragedy. A candlelight vigil is being planned to honor Parker’s memory, with details to be announced by his family. Social media has been flooded with tributes and messages of support, reflecting the widespread sorrow over his untimely death.

Local law enforcement officials are urging anyone with additional information about the shooting to come forward as the investigation continues.

Funeral arrangements for Parker Charles Johnson are being handled by Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing. Visitation and service details will be announced in the coming days. The family has requested privacy as they grieve this profound loss and asked that Parker be remembered for the kindness and joy he brought into the lives of others.

Parker’s death has left a void that words cannot fill, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
