The Philadelphia region is in store for pleasant late summer weather this weekend, with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Like the past several days, there will be sun and clouds.

Stray sprinkles will also be possible as a weak disturbance falls apart overhead.

Sunday will be a similar day to Saturday with just a touch more heat and humidity. Again, fog will be possible in spots early Sunday morning with a hint of humidity in the air. Otherwise, plan on partly cloudy skies through Sunday afternoon with high temperatures in the middle 80s.

The Eagles will be playing in Kansas City for a rematch of Super Bowl LIX, and it’ll be considerably warmer and humid out west at Arrowhead Stadium. Around kickoff at 4:25 p.m., the temperature will be 92 degrees with a chance of thunderstorms.

Next week is the last full week of summer, and this streak of pleasant days continues through next weekend with the exception of a bit more cloud cover and a chance of showers on Wednesday and Thursday.

Our warmest days will be Sunday and Friday in the mid-80s. The coolest day will be Wednesday in the mid-70s.

Dry conditions, moderate drought follow lower rain totals across Pa., NJ and Del.

The dry stretch ahead will be nice for outdoor activities, however, a little rain would be nice.

We are seeing abnormally dry areas popping up across the Delaware Valley and even a moderate drought beginning in Mercer County. We have only had 0.56 inches of rain this month, which is 1.23 inches below average for the month. For the year only 26.49 inches has fallen, which is 4.66 inches below average.

Last year at this time we already had 33.02 inches of rain. You may recall we were also in a severe to extreme drought last fall. Unfortunately, there is no significant rain in the next 7 days.

    Here’s your 7-day forecast:

Saturday: Sun and clouds. High 83, Low 61.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. High 86, Low 60.

Monday: Mostly sunny. High 83, Low 62.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. High 81, Low 62.

Wednesday: Increasing clouds. High 76, Low 63.

Thursday: Stray shower. High 81, Low 64.

Friday: Partly sunny. High 86, Low 64
