Washington D.C. – In a move celebrating his efforts to promote peace, President Donald Trump was awarded the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize on Friday during the 2026 World Cup draw.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, a known admirer of President Trump’s leadership, presented the award. Infantino has previously stated his belief that Trump deserved the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in brokering peace in the Middle East.

The award ceremony included a video highlighting President Trump’s meetings with global leaders, showcasing his efforts to resolve international conflicts. Infantino praised Trump’s actions, stating that he “deserves the first FIFA Peace Prize for your action, for what you have obtained in your way.” He presented President Trump with a medal and a gold trophy symbolizing unity and peace.

President Trump thanked his family and acknowledged the cooperation of Canada and Mexico, the other host nations for the 2026 World Cup. He stated, “This is truly one of the great honors of my life,” and added, “The world is a safer place now.”

This award recognizes President Trump’s commitment to diplomacy and his efforts to foster peace on the world stage. It comes at a time when his administration continues to work towards resolving international conflicts.
