Rodney M. Milner of Marion Death and Obituary – The Marion, Alabama community is mourning the loss of Rodney M. Milner, 65, who tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident early Thursday morning, October 30, 2025. According to officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the fatal crash occurred around 6 a.m. on Greene County 18 near Swan Lane, approximately four miles north of Demopolis.

Reports indicate that Milner was driving a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck when, for reasons yet to be determined, the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. Sadly, Milner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding medical personnel.

Authorities from ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the incident. The crash remains under review as officers work to determine whether speed, weather, or other factors may have contributed to the accident.

Rodney M. Milner was a longtime resident of Marion, Alabama, and was known for his hard work, kindness, and commitment to his family and community. His sudden passing has left friends, relatives, and neighbors heartbroken as they come to terms with the loss of a man many described as dependable, humble, and good-natured.

Those who knew Milner remember him as someone who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Whether assisting a friend, offering advice, or working on community projects, he demonstrated compassion and integrity in everything he did. His passing is not only a personal loss for his loved ones but also for the broader Marion community, where he made a meaningful impact over the years.

As word of his death spread, tributes poured in across social media, with many expressing their condolences and sharing memories of Milner’s generosity and good humor. Friends described him as a “genuine soul” who had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued.

Funeral arrangements for Rodney Milner are expected to be announced by his family in the coming days. Loved ones and community members will soon gather to celebrate his life, honor his memory, and find comfort in the legacy he leaves behind.

Tragedies like this serve as a reminder of the importance of seat belt safety and cautious driving, especially on rural Alabama roads where conditions can quickly change. ALEA officials continue to urge drivers to remain alert, buckle up, and take all necessary precautions to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

Rodney M. Milner’s death is a heartbreaking loss for Marion and the surrounding areas. His life and legacy will be remembered by those who knew and loved him, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
