October 5, 2025 – Bridgette Lynn Glover, 58, of Kemp, Texas, was arrested on Friday, September 26, 2025, after a routine traffic stop in Scurry led to the discovery of a significant amount of methamphetamine and marijuana. The arrest marks a major drug bust for Kaufman County authorities.

    What Happened

At approximately 12:11 p.m. on September 26, 2025, a Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a maroon Chevrolet Malibu at FM 148 and Highway 34 in Scurry, Texas. The driver, identified as Bridgette Lynn Glover, was quickly flagged by the deputy.

A Kaufman County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit was called to assist, and after performing an open-air sniff of the vehicle, the K-9 alerted to the odor of narcotics, providing deputies with probable cause to conduct a search of the vehicle.

    The Discovery

During the search, deputies discovered approximately 550 grams of methamphetamine and 68 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle. Glover was immediately taken into custody and charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over 400 grams, a First-Degree Felony.

    Further Investigation and Arrest

Following the arrest, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators obtained a search warrant for Glover’s residence in Kemp, Texas. The subsequent search of her home led to the seizure of an additional 130 grams of methamphetamine, packaging materials, and digital scales, further implicating her in drug distribution activities. As a result, Glover was charged with an additional First-Degree Felony for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 (4–200 grams).

    Previous Arrests and Charges

This arrest is not Glover’s first encounter with law enforcement. She was out on bond from an October 2024 case, where Kaufman County Narcotics Unit had executed a search warrant at her residence, discovering approximately 485 grams of methamphetamine. The recent arrest compounds the charges against her, highlighting her involvement in large-scale drug trafficking.

    Current Status

Glover is currently being held at the Kaufman County Jail on a $700,000 bond. The ongoing investigation will continue to determine if there are additional connections to drug trafficking networks in the region.

    Public and Legal Reactions

The seizure of such a large quantity of methamphetamine and other illegal substances marks a significant win for Kaufman County law enforcement in their fight against drug trafficking. The community has responded with mixed emotions, with some expressing relief at the disruption of a drug distribution operation, while others remain concerned about the ongoing drug issue in the area.

The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office continues to work on tackling local drug crime and encourages anyone with information about similar activities to come forward.
