In a significant move for public safety, President Donald Trump has turned to Jeanine Pirro as the new U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C. Pirro, who gained visibility as a co-host on “The Five,” is now tasked with ensuring that Trump’s vision of a “Liberation Day” for D.C. becomes a reality.

Pirro emphasizes that the government’s foremost job is to protect its citizens. She expressed her strong commitment to making D.C. a safe and beautiful city, supporting the federalization of local police forces to meet these goals. In an appearance on “My View with Lara Trump,” she stated, “The agenda is very clear,” and outlined her plans to enhance public safety.

One of the key areas she is focusing on is juvenile crime. Pirro pointed out that serious offenses often end up in family courts, leading to insufficient accountability. She criticized the current rehabilitation measures, such as community activities, as inadequate for dealing with young offenders who commit violent crimes.

“If a 17-year-old shoots someone but doesn’t kill them, we cannot prosecute effectively,” she explained, highlighting that this needs to change. “That approach isn’t working for law enforcement.”

Pirro’s aim is to hold criminals accountable while protecting victims’ rights. She remarked that minority communities are particularly vulnerable to crime and highlighted the need for action, saying, “We need to arrest offenders and seize illegal firearms.”

Since the launch of Trump’s crime initiative, Pirro has reported promising early results: hundreds of arrests and illegal weapons confiscated within the first week. She believes these changes have already begun to create a safer environment for residents.

Addressing protests against the new policing measures, Pirro dismissed them as mere political spectacles. On “Fox & Friends Weekend,” she remarked that citizens should be grateful for efforts to restore safety and cleanliness in the city. She conveyed confidence that the administration’s approach will lead to meaningful changes.

Overall, Pirro’s commitment to reforming policing practices in D.C. illustrates a broader agenda to prioritize public safety and hold offenders accountable, reflecting the administration’s dedication to making tangible improvements in the nation’s capital.
