Upcoming Memoir of Virginia Roberts Giuffre Set for Release in Fall 2025
Alfred A. Knopf has announced the upcoming publication of Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s memoir, titled Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, scheduled to be released in the fall of 2025. This book tells the story of Giuffre’s harrowing experiences of being trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell before she escaped at the age of 19.
Giuffre, who tragically died by suicide on April 24, 2025, was known for being a vocal accuser of Epstein, who was convicted for sex crimes. She collaborated with writer Amy Wallace to create Nobody’s Girl over four years leading up to her death.
Giuffre’s story begins in the summer of 2000, when at just 16 years old, she was recruited by Maxwell to work for Epstein. For the next two years, she was exploited and trafficked for sex until she finally managed to break free. Epstein took his own life in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on child trafficking charges. Maxwell was later convicted and is currently serving a 20-year sentence in federal prison for her role in the trafficking scheme.
The memoir provides a deep look into Giuffre’s difficult times with Epstein and Maxwell, documenting her life at Epstein’s mansion and his private island. It also highlights the notable figures she encountered, including CEOs and politicians, while detailing her fight for justice against Prince Andrew, whom she accused of abuse.
Beyond telling her story of survival, Giuffre’s memoir aims to shed light on the systemic issues surrounding human trafficking, emphasizing the need for awareness and justice for victims of abuse. In a touching email sent shortly before her passing, Giuffre expressed her desire for her story to be published, so it could help others facing similar experiences.
Her story is described by her publisher as a powerful testament to courage in the face of overwhelming adversity. The release of Nobody’s Girl is expected to resonate with many, as it charts Giuffre’s transformation from victim to advocate for the voiceless.
The book will be available for preorder starting on October 21, 2025.
