LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 2-month-old girl is dead after she was attacked by a dog earlier this week in southern Indiana.
It happened just before 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 in the 1800 block south of CR 100 east, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. That’s when a woman called 911 to report her daughter had been attacked.
First responders arrived and began administering CPR before loading the child into a police cruiser to meet an ambulance at the police department. The victim was then taken to Schneck Medical Center, where she died.
The pit bull that attacked the child is being held at the Jackson County K-9 Control Center.
