Devon Staley Obituary, Death –Authorities in Bedford County have announced the death of a 33-year-old man who was missing. After being last seen on Wednesday morning at his apartment complex next to Jefferson Forest Middle School, Devon Staley was reported missing on Friday.
Later on Friday, in the vicinity of Westyn Village Way in the Forest area, a bystander discovered a man down a steep embankment with a tree on top of him and no pulse.
After responding to the site, Bedford County Fire and Rescue and Sheriff’s Deputies declared the individual deceased. Later on, that man was revealed to be Staley.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will receive the body to conduct an autopsy. Public safety is not at risk, according to the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, and the death is not being investigated as suspicious.
