Weatherford High School Incident: 1 arrested, fight at Weatherford High School homecoming dance in Texas

A 17-year-old student at Weatherford High School in Weatherford, Texas has been arrested for assualt on Saturday. Authorities says the teenager was taken into custody following the disturbance during the homecoming dance on Sept 14, 2024.

According to a student, an altercation broke out among a number of students at the location, one of the juveniles involved said he was armed with a gun. The statement sent all the students and visitors at the scene of the feets. A number of burises have been reported following the incident.

Weatherford Police Department, Texas: Officers are on scene and investigating multiple and varying reports at the high school homecoming dance. At this time, one 17 year old male is in custody for assault.

While the investigation is ongoing, there have been no weapons found, no injuries reported, and no evidence indicating any shots have been fired at this point. Parents are being asked to pick up children at the Outback, west of the main school buildings.
