With both sadness and gratitude, Fellowship of the Parks (FOTP) announces the passing of Ed Kirk, a beloved and integral member of the church community. His dedication, friendship, and service have left an indelible mark on the lives of many, and his contributions to FOTP are immeasurable.
Senior Pastor Doug Walker shared heartfelt words in memory of Ed: “Words cannot express my gratitude for this incredible man, for his friendship, and for what he’s meant to my family and our church. Had it not been for Ed Kirk and his sacrificial service, FOTP might not exist today. That is not an overstatement. Ed has worn most every hat in the church. I love him, miss him, and am forever grateful. We will see him again! Pray for Nancy and their family.”
Ed Kirk’s life was defined by selfless dedication and unwavering support to the FOTP community. He filled countless roles within the church, always giving of himself and making a lasting difference. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him and will forever be a part of FOTP’s foundation.
A service to celebrate Ed’s life will be held on Sunday afternoon in the north auditorium at the North Fort Worth campus, located at 9900 N. Beach St. The viewing will take place at 3:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 4:00 PM.
Family, friends, and the FOTP community are invited to gather and honor the memory of a man who touched so many lives. As we reflect on Ed’s incredible contributions, we pray for comfort and peace for his wife, Nancy, and the entire Kirk family. His memory will remain forever in our hearts, and we look forward to the day we see him again.
