Georgina Padilla, Napa, and Ralph Andino III, 54, of American Canyon, has died

The Napa County Coroner’s Office has identified the victims of a fatal double shooting that occurred on Thursday in Napa. Georgina Padilla, 38, of Napa, and Ralph Andino III, 54, of American Canyon, lost their lives in the tragic incident.

The Napa County Sheriff’s Office has named 28-year-old Baltazar Rangel Juarez as the suspect in the shooting. After a standoff with police, Juarez attempted to take his own life but survived and is currently hospitalized.

The shooting was reported around 9:45 a.m. on the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue, where police found Padilla and Andino outside a residence, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts by first responders, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

By early afternoon, authorities had identified Juarez as the suspect. Around 1:30 p.m., law enforcement spotted him driving near Juarez and Second streets in Napa. When officers attempted to pull him over, Juarez fled, leading them to Kennedy Park, where his vehicle became disabled.

Despite efforts to apprehend him, Juarez refused to surrender. During the standoff, he shot himself but survived the attempt. He remains in the hospital while the investigation continues. This tragic event has shocked the Napa community, as investigators work to piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
