LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.
Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening Friday, March 28, to Sunday, March 30, 2025.
NYVPW Art Gallery Experience
This week is the 2025 National Youth Violence Prevention Week, and, in Louisville, the week will conclude with the NYVPW Art Gallery Experience.
On Friday, March 28, the art gallery experience will give attendees a chance to support youth and their creativity through a “visual celebration of resilience, hope, and the collective effort to prevent youth violence.”
The “Forward Together” themed art exhibition features pieces by young artists in Louisville that are using their art to advocate for positive change in the community.

Music Without Borders: Jazz meets Orchestra
The Louisville Orchestra’s free concert series will bring live music to neighborhoods in the city from Thursday, March 27, through Saturday, March 29.
Music Without Borders: Jazz Meets Orchestra will take place at The Jeffersonian, Neighborhood House and Americana Community Center with each concert beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The genre-blending program is led by conductor David Baker with Ansyn Banks Jazz Ensemble. The concert “highlights the deep connections between classical music and jazz.”

KFC Yum! Center annual family movie night
A free, annual tradition for all ages is returning to the KFC Yum! Center on Sunday, March 30.
There will be a screening of the classic movie Shrek with a photo booth, face painting, balloon artists and photo opportunities with Shrek and Fiona.
The event is free for all ages as doors open at noon and the movie begins at 1 p.m.
Guests can purchase snacks from KFC Yum! Center concessions as outside food and drinks aren’t permitted.

Louisville Bats Opening Night
Baseball is back in Louisville as the Bats are set to take on the Memphis Redbirds to open the 2025 season.
On Friday, gates will open at 6 p.m., and first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
The first 2,500 fans will receive a 2025 magnet schedule, and 12-ounce cans of Miller Lite and Coors Lite will be offered for $3. There will also be postgame fireworks.
On Saturday, first pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. Kids reserved tickets are available for $5 when accompanied by a full-paying adult reserved ticket.
The final game of the series Sunday will start at 1:05 p.m.

Louisville Earth Fest 2025
Earth Fest is a free community festival at Alberta Jones Park 2-6 p.m. Saturday, March 29.
There will be food, music, performances, arts, environmental activities and community resources. The event will kick off Earth Month events happening throughout Louisville.
To attend Earth Fest sustainably, you can walk, bike, TARC or carpool. There will also be free sustainable food from Feed Louisville.
