Southeast, NY (January 27, 2025) – A devastating two-car crash on I-684 northbound in the Town of Southeast claimed the life of a Connecticut man on Sunday, January 26, leaving a community in mourning.
The New York State Police reported that the incident occurred when 23-year-old Makayla McIntyre of Mount Vernon, NY, lost control of her vehicle. Her car struck a guiderail before veering across all lanes of traffic. It collided with a second vehicle driven by 65-year-old Michael Keller of New Milford, Connecticut.
The collision was severe, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway, strike the median, and overturn. They eventually came to a stop in the center embankment.
