LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 74-year-old person died in Nelson County after their vehicle was fully submerged in floodwaters early Saturday morning.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report of a possible water rescue just after 3:30 a.m.
Authorities found a person trapped in their vehicle in the 2800 block of Nelsonville Road and the vehicle was fully submerged.
The person died inside and hasn’t been identified at this time.
Authorities are continuing to warn people not to drive through flooded roadways.
