June J Sullivan Obituary, Death; – A driver involved in a two-vehicle collision that led to the death of an 80-year-old woman from New Lenox has been charged with driving under the influence, according to New Lenox police on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Route 30 and Cooper Road at approximately 8 p.m. on Sunday. While the investigation is still in progress, preliminary findings suggest that the woman was traveling east on Route 30 and was attempting to make a left turn onto Cooper Road, as stated by New Lenox Police Chief Louis Alessandrini. The other driver, identified as 34-year-old Bradley A. Nichols-McCutchan from New Lenox, was heading westbound.
Both individuals were transported to Silver Cross Hospital, where June J. Sullivan was pronounced dead shortly before 9 p.m. Nichols-McCutchan has been charged with driving under the influence, as reported by Alessandrini.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and further charges may be filed depending on the outcome of the investigation and toxicology tests.
