When I heard the news of my friend and Calhoun County Treasurer, Brian Wensauer’s passing, my heart grew heavy. I had wanted to wait for the official announcement, but the type of relationship we had made it impossible for me to stay silent. Brian would always greet me with a smile and say, “You staying out of trouble? Keep doing the great job you’re doing.
” That was just the kind of man he was—always encouraging, always uplifting. He was more than a public servant—he was a man of integrity, kindness, and positivity.
Every time we saw each other, it was uplifting. Whether in professional settings or when our paths crossed at the cancer center, he always carried a spirit of encouragement.
His dedication to the community and the people he served was truly admirable. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, his loved ones, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his legacy of service and compassion continue to inspire us all.
Rest well, my friend.
