Frederick Nealey, 57, was tragically killed in a shooting on State Highway 288 on Monday, leading to charges against 55-year-old Gregory Elias Rodriguez.
Rodriguez faces murder and several other charges related to the fatal incident. Nealey’s family described him as a vibrant and lively individual, with his brother and sister-in-law remembering him fondly as a “great guy.”
Witnesses reported that Rodriguez chased Nealey and shot at him before fleeing the scene on foot. Police quickly apprehended him after a short chase. The investigation into the incident continues as authorities move forward with the legal proceedings.
