Missing Boy Case: Parents Arrested for Murder
Authorities are investigating the case of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro, who has been missing since August 14. His mother, Rebecca Haro, initially reported that her son was kidnapped while she was outside a store in Yucaipa, California. However, law enforcement has since claimed that their investigation revealed no evidence of a kidnapping.
Rebecca and Emmanuel’s father, Jake Haro, were arrested on suspicion of murder after inconsistencies were found in their statements. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department believes that Emmanuel is deceased, though search efforts continue.
On August 24, Jake was seen searching a field in Moreno Valley, dressed in an orange jail jumpsuit. The search was conducted alongside law enforcement officers, including the use of cadaver dogs, but unfortunately, Emmanuel was not found.
Witness reports indicate that on the day of the alleged kidnapping, Rebecca was with Jake and their three children at a local park during another son’s football practice. Afterward, she drove to a sporting goods store with Emmanuel. While there, she claimed that she was attacked and lost consciousness, waking up to find her baby gone.
As the investigation progresses, authorities have stated that Rebecca’s statements included several inconsistencies, leading them to question her account of the events.
