In a heartbreaking incident on September 8, 2025, authorities report that six individuals lost their lives and several others were injured after gunmen opened fire near a bus stop in Jerusalem. The attack occurred at Ramot Junction on Yigal Yadin Street, causing widespread panic and leaving a community in mourning.

    What Happened

At approximately 10:13 a.m. local time, gunmen opened fire near the bus stop, targeting civilians. Among the injured was a pregnant woman, as confirmed by Israel’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar. Emergency responders from Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived quickly on the scene, where they confirmed that two attackers had been “neutralized.”

MDA reported that four men were found dead at the scene, while a critically injured woman was later pronounced dead at Shaare Zedek Medical Center. In addition to the fatalities, six individuals remain in critical condition, while three others suffered minor injuries, and two were reported to be in moderate condition.

    Reactions

Witnesses at the scene described chaos, with shattered glass and injured individuals lying on the ground. Paramedics worked quickly to provide assistance as the situation unfolded. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have deployed soldiers to the area, particularly around Ramallah, in an effort to prevent further violence and bolster security in the region.

While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic event. The shooting has left the local community in shock, with many reflecting on the violence that has once again disrupted the peace in the region.

    What’s Next

As authorities continue to investigate the attack, the Israeli government has pledged to strengthen security measures and ensure that justice is served. The country remains on high alert, with security forces working to prevent any further incidents.

This is a developing story. We will update this article as more information becomes available.
